Dr JoyAnne MacInnes
Consultant Clinical Health Psychologist

Dr JoyAnne MacInnes has worked over 25 years experience in the NHS and works in 3 of the largest NHS London Hospitals, both in Paediatrics and Adult contexts. She has extensive experience working with ill health, including the experience of injury and surgery. Working to soften the impact of these on how we feel and view ourselves.
As well as a considerable background of working with folk who have responses to situations that make them uncomfortable or life difficult to manage (Tics, OCD, BDD or overcontrol), Dr MacInnes has a breadth of experience working with those who have been through trauma either at one time or considerable numbers of trauma over extensive periods of time, including those involving medical procedures. Dr MacInnes is able to offer specialist therapy to both adults and to children who feel uncomfortable about how their body reacts, how they feel, how they feel about their body as well as those whose health is negatively impacting their life, either the in short term or with long term conditions.
Dr MacInnes provides a range of specialist psychological assessments for those seeking dental, medical or surgical treatments, such as orthagnathic treatment, to risk-reducing mastectomy or cosmetic surgery.
She is fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society.
